I come from an Indonesian-Chinese family, grew up in Hong Kong, and now create books in the U.S. My work often blends cultural heritage, fantasy, and tender everyday moments—and this newsletter is where I share the in-between parts of making art that don’t always fit on social media.
Think of this as a cozy, creative clubhouse—a place to slow down, look closely, and reconnect with why we started making stories in the first place. This space grows out of my life as an illustrator and storyteller, but parents, teachers, and librarians who love visual storytelling and meaningful books for kids are warmly welcome here too.
