Here's another doll from the Tiny Glimmers art show!
Whenever I start a project, my desk gets cluttered with paints and art supplies real quick. I'm always a bit jealous of people who can make those cute progress videos. The photo's a bit messy, but it shows all the materials and paints I used for my watercolor on wood art. I made a longer video to share my doll-making process. Hope you like it!
The clothing is inspired by modern versions of Hanfu (汉服), which is traditional Chinese clothing from before the Qing Dynasty (清朝). The doll is wearing a horse-face skirt (马脸裙) that originated in the Song Dynasty (宋朝). It's chic, comfortable, and cute. It's easy to dress up or down and match with any top. This style has become a trendy choice in the fashion world. For me, it's a way to feel connected to my heritage in a stylish way! LOL
