As I sit down to write this post, I worry about our country's state and what the future holds. But despite that heaviness, my heart is overflowing with gratitude for so many beautiful things in my life! I'm thankful for my loving friends, supportive colleagues, family, and the cozy comfort of my home. And, of course, I can't help but smile when I see Piglet's happy, wagging tail!

I want to take a moment to say a big thank you to all you wonderful readers, teachers, educators, and libraries who support my books and advocate for the freedom to read while standing against book bans! As an immigrant, I sometimes feel unsure about sharing my thoughts on social and political issues, even with the rights I have as a citizen. That's why I love to express myself through stories and art! Stories and art have a magical way of connecting us and helping us understand complex ideas in a gentle, relatable way. They can touch our hearts, evoke emotions, and foster empathy, bridging differences and bringing us together. They also offer comfort, hope, and joy, reminding us of the beauty in connection.

I love making fun little paintings for friends and family during the holidays, especially for the little kids. Nothing beats a sweet, homemade thank-you card to show your loved ones you care.

I put together this little watercolor video. Hope you like it!

After the paint dries, just grab some craft scissors and trim the edges.
